A Million Rounds of Ammo
You may have heard on the news about a southern California man that was placed under 72-hour psychiatric observation when it was found he owned 100 guns and allegedly had an estimated 1-million rounds of ammunition stored in his home. His house also had a secret escape tunnel.
My favorite quote from the television reporter was, "Wow! He has about a million machine gun bullets." The headline referred to it as a "massive weapons cache". By southern California standards, the man was assumed to be "mentally unstable."
However, if the same guy lived...
In Arizona , he'd be called "an avid gun collector".
In Arkansas , he'd be called "a novice gun collector".
In Utah , he'd be called "moderately well prepared", but they'd probably reserve judgment until they made sure that he had a corresponding quantity of stored food.
In Montana , he'd be called, "The neighborhood Go-To guy".
In South Carolina , His friends would be offering to loan Him a few more guns until he could go to Wal-Mart and stock up.
In Idaho , he'd be called, "a likely gubernatorial candidate".
In Wyoming , he'd be called, "an eligible bachelor".
And, in Texas , he'd be called, "a deer hunting buddy".

I thought you were talking about the extra ammo in my closet. I am glad you did not count the stuff in the gun room So if you own a bunch of guns and ammo the assume you are crazy? I think the people that decided he was crazy should be held for evaluation. Then charged with violating his constitutional rights? Plus the guy needs to for libel and slander. Because they said he had machine gun bullets which would say he intended to put them in a machine gun. Because the bullets are the same. Some shoots someone on video in front of hundereds of people and they call him an "alledged" shooter but they say this guy had a milion machine gun bullets. How about it is alledged he had a million bullets which does not violate any law in this country and is protected by the Constitition of the United States of America that the officers swore to protect. Then they found a loop hole to take his property and violate his rights. They plan to have a liberal weenie say he is crazy so he can never own a gun again. Oh some lawyer please run down there and slap those female dogs around.

I wonder if they'd be interested to know that a "machine gun bullet" looks just like any other bullet and is in fact the exact same thing. Probably not.

In Alabama...he would be known as a 'properly prepared individual.' ....... I just love the way the media, and some folks that ought to know better, refer to his ammunition as 'bullets'....and even better than that....'machine gun bullets'. If they only knew how we laugh at them for this ignorance they possess. Bullets are of little consequence unless loaded into the proper case with some powder and a primer. I guess you could throw them at someone or maybe even shoot them out of a slingshot, but they wouldn't be very accurate. Wonder if he passed the 72 hr. observation without incident?
