We loaded up the dogs and went  hunting today at noon. We never hunt in the middle of the day but we just had a good rain shower and decided to give it a try. We weren't out there very long and the dogs winded from the ranger. We turned Red, Sweet Pea, and Camo loose and they shot out like bullets. James was watching the garmin and he thought they were getting too close to the property line so we took off the go cut them off. Before we reached them they had bayed up about 700 yards from where we turned them loose. We drove a couple hundred yards from them and parked the ranger and vested Bullet up.

When we got in the woods, it was a horrible, thick mass of briars......never fails.  Sad   We finally push our way through to find that they have a boar hog bayed up. The dogs were hot, the boar was hot, and now, we were hot. We figured that we had better make this short and sweet. James turned Bullet loose and as soon as he caught, James ran in and legged the hog and stuck it. Then he cut the head off and we headed to the ranger asap to take the dogs to water to cool off. I was proud of our dogs as always.  Smiley

Thank you,
He is one of the pups out of our red bmc Sweet Pea and red brindle cur, Foot. It was a good cross, we kept three pups and they are all hunting good. Its the first litter of my line breeding program.  Smiley

Foot and Sweet Pea are the two dogs looking over the seat of the ranger in the last pic.

Real nice fat boar guys, the humidity after the showers today was pretty rough.  Glad everyone got out of there ok.
