I took a guy out last night that had never been before.  Picked him up around 6pm, turned loose Stew, Superman, Strawberry, and Apache.  Didn't take long and Stew came bayed about 300 yards out.  Most of the dogs where together at the time.  I herd about 7 or 8 barks and pig squelling.  We headed to them and decided to let Dozer loose also from about 100 out.  When i was turning him loose i heard the dogs go to baying again.  WHen i got in there it was a 175 pound or so boar w/ maybe 1/4 inch teeth.  Hog was caught but i had several dogs bleeding pretty good.  I CANNOT believe this little fart of a hog took my CD and opened him up.  He also took my curr and gave him about 8 different pokes.  Maybe they will back up a little more next time.  Get well dogs, we are heading out again WED.  This guy a had a great time though and so did i.  Sorry no picture of dogs this time.  Having a white CD sucks sometimes!  Wink

I don't either Monty.  I sold that boar last night, 166 and cut the crap out of those dogs like that.  Usually they will try and catch anything under 200 or so especially my Stew dog but Stew didn't get cut! Smiley

Good hunt. I think that the smaller hogs are more agile and do more damage. Hope the dogs have a speedy recovery.  Smiley

Good hog and good dogs. We did a lot of hunting on the san Antonio river thee for a while and would catch 150 knees with 3in teeth. They would do twice as much cutting as the bigger boars. Dogs get to gritty when they're that small
