It was good to have met some more board members this weekend.  An actually get a chance to hunt together.  I have got a couple chances to hunt with couple of people on the board, and look forward to meeting more.  Took a couple first time dogs to the woods this weekend to hunt some bear.  Ole rock was a silent hog dog but has been opening up lately so I have just started running him with my other hounds.  All together the dogs did well.  We treed one and made it to the tree before he came down.  The other 2 we didn't make it in time and just ended up on a long walk up n down mountains and over those infamous rock slides!! ( they suck!). Dogs did well but couldn't keep up with them ole rock slide bears.  Was a good adventure and looking forward to this weekend hopefully will tree some more.

I knew it,....I thought I recognized that country. Here's some of it that I've been through:

This is north of T or C in unit 17 where I've hunted deer several times. Those rock slides don't look like much from a mile or 2 away......but it's a different story when you get there. I love that country.....I could live there in a heartbeat.

Yes sir!!  They don't look bad a mile away then you get on em and they swallow you.  Going to easier country this weekend just hope to rig bears there as well.  Didn't have a problem rigging bears this weekend just shutting them down before the rock slides.  Had a buddy Scott with me and he swears that Earl was treed bout 100 yards ahead of the other dogs.  Guess Bo and Earl caught up with him on the ground then broke and Earl treed him by hisself.  I was listening away from truck and Scott was watching the garmin.

It was good to meet you Corey.  Wally, Scott and Casey too.  I appreciate y'all letting me tag along some.  That was the prettiest yet roughest country I've ever hunted.  Lots of wildlife up there.  I'm definately not a big fan of the rockslides.

Lol.  I did just hunt curdogs.  My buddies backed out on me so I made the trip alone.  Luckily there were some nice folks up there that let me get blisters and sore legs with them.

I dropped 2 curs the first morning and the jumped something within 2 minutes.  I picked one up at 1 mile and the other on the next ridge at 2.7 miles.  I don't know what it was.
