Kind of upset about the whole thing but the guy that bought one of my pits emailed me and told me that he lost the whole litter to parvo etc etc and im really upset because he didnt "feel" like taking them to the vet and hes all like its ok ill just breed her again when she comes into heat.

what would be the nicest way to tell him its a bad idea to breed dogs if you cant afford to care for the pups?

Just say look dumb*ss, dogs and puppies need care and if you can't afford it or don't want to give it then your dumb*ss needs to quit trying to raise dogs. People like you cause problems for everyone. That is how I would go about it. That is being nice as far as I'm concerned.

People like that just need to have there dogs come up missing one night when they are gone. well if he sells backyard pitts for that much I would sure like to know where he lives and bring some good bloodlines there to sell, maybe I will get 2 to 3,000 bucks each. LOL
Some people just dont have a clue.

well the gyp he bought from me had a ped and his back yard pit mutt that he prolly never will be close to bein a real pure breed seems to be the sire so he thinks that he can breed them and get os much money out of it. the answer i got back when i tried talkin to him was "dont tell me how to raise my dogs"

I would tell him not to waste his time because if the first litter got parvo, the second litter will also without vaccinations because its on his place.

This once again goes to show, that good responsible doggers, that want to get there lines out for other hunters to enjoy cant anymore.  Like i have read in previous posts, sometimes it would be nice if you could cull a couple humans every once in awhile.

Exactly what DJ said. He will have to learn everything the hard way. There is no way to soften the blow for someone like that.

If very young pups (less than 8 weeks old or so) die of Parvo, the problem more than likely lies with the dam not having been vaccinated properly prior to whelping.  How long ago did he get the female from you?

Just tell him how u feel and dont hold no punches. Or tell him sry for his loss and dont talk to him ne more, buy the dog back,  those seem like reasonible options.

if you speak whats on yur mind it could make him hate you or it will help him. ask him to biuld a kennel off the ground and at six wks give them shots.
he may not have the right training on raising pups. but for my self just say what yur gut tells you and hope for the best,

My puppy that is almost a year had a swollen paw. I was going to just wait it out. But I bought the dog and know the person cares how the dog turns out so I went to the vet and had it x-rayed. It was just a sprain but that is what you do if you ever want another dog. But I know dogs have been saved from parvo at home. I lost one so fast he did not make it to the vet.

What did he do to try to save the pups? If they went down so fast he could not even get to a vet or he was trying at home it may be different. If he just said who cares and let them die that is another story. Parvo treatment at a vet can go over a thousand dollars a dog at some vets. But an IV can really help.

Gonna play devils advocate here, but if he bought and paid for the dog, its his do do what he wants, whether its right or wrong.
