I had another surgery earlier on my wrist. I am just sniveling because I am in pain and pain killers ain't working, I feel like I am going to barf all time, I am very tired and can't sleep. The good thing is that my wife is picking on me. She has finally figured me out. She told me she should have brough a bucket of dirt to the hospital so I could run some dirt in it and stop my whining. If I could just sleep it would be great. I don't mind pain just need to sleep.

Sorry for your pain man, but this makes me laugh. Any time I hurt myself, I get the same response from my wife. "Rub some dirt in it" Hope you get to feeling better. And just a little recommendation from my personal experiences, if the pain killers aint working, add just a little bit of alcohol, and it seems to make everything better. Or it at least puts you to sleep where you dont think about the pain anymore.

What pain meds are you on? Vicodine and Hydro-Codine make me puke my guts up, but 800 mgs of Ibprofun and I am good to roll.

I hate pain meds. I think they gave me morphine at the hospital. They gave that hydrocodine to take home. But I am stopping because it does not help. Switching to military candy known as ibuprofen for the swelling.

Prayers sent. I know what u going through, I had 2 wrist surgeries about 10 yrs ago. The first one was very painful!!!! I don't wish that on anyone.

The cast does not hold my wrist from turning so I have had no sleep since Wednesday night. I have been back up to the VA but any disabled vet knows there is no help. I am going to the store and make a splint. I guess I have more experience at this than the doctor that made this thing on my hand. It is like an ice pick was stabbed through my wrist and left. So when I fall asleep the ice pick twists and I am wide awake again.

I can't seem to get anything to make this work. I can't take it off and make a new one because it is a post-op cast thing and when I try to add on it does not hold. Tomorrow is the Dr's day at the VA Hospital so I will go up and wait to see the head Dr that did the surgery. I bet he will not be happy with whoever put this cr@p on my arm. I have to leave my arm in the slimg and sleep sitting up. I can get about an hour to two hours sleep before I move and it wakes me up. I am very tired and my wife says I am real cranky.
