Two weekends ago when the dust was swirling and no rain in sight, we were finally able to hunt a large piece of MLD property on White Rock Creek. Right off the bat on saturday Blaster found the hogs, Brandon and I were on the horses and caught a small sow a mile later under Marshall's dog BUd. The dogs rolled out chasing shoats forever. The dust and dry conditions were definitely taking the toll on the dogs. We went over to the river and Bud quickly struck a good sow.Roscoe and Train finally stopped her and Marshall, Brousssard and I had to walk in about 900 yards to catch her. A few more decent hogs and we called it a day with just 5.... Sunday morning we turned out at feeder on the north end of the place were a group of shoats had been seen the morning before. Not 20 yards beside the feedesr, the hogs were found and the mayhem began. we quickly had 6 tied and were going to scattered dogs everywhere. I ended up with Blaster and lil Joe and 3 pups. I took them over to a small waterhole as they were def struggling to keep going much longer. I then took the dogs a few hundred yards down the road and sent them into a large youpon and briar thicket with big, dry creeks. Blaster ran in a bayed within a min. Soon all 5 dogs were hammering, they broke and went maybe 100 yards to a familar spot. We knew the area well as we had ended up in washout here twice last year. We simply called it the hole. I got in there and saw the size of the hog and quickly called the calvary... Of course this would happen the one hunt I dont carry my digital camera. Luckily I was able to snap a few shots of him in the hole with my phone. Everyone soon arrived and quickly tried to get a lariat rope around his mouth. We had him and was in the process of sucking it up when he slipped out. Well the cur dogs not knowing better tried to catch when they saw the rope. Within second the hog had cut 5 dogs and things were getting much worse. Big E quickly cut Obama loose and thats when the bomb really went off. Dogs were flying out of that washout. After the hog banged around wall everywich way he could he suddenly dissappeared into a cave in the bank, along with all the dogs. LIke I said earlier we had caught numerous hogs in here before and had no clue about this mysterious cave. You coulda heard a pin drop, the dogs were caught and everyone else was just speechless. I quickly ran and guessed where the hog was and started digging. We could feel his back, so we knew we were close. Then we encountered the roots and spent 4 or 5 min cutting away with a pocket knife. By now we have all the dogs out exceot for the CD and Blaster. They're both still caught. The hogs chewing on the catchdogs vest sitting down. We finally get a big enough hole for Eric to get a rope around his top teeth. Jim Ed is able to grab a leg, I jump down by then and we pull him out and flipp him with a team effort. Ended up being a barr and weighin 330 with great bottoms. Great hunt biggest of the year so far.. Jim Ed, Bull, Big E, Pischotta, Marshall, Broussard and others all had a hand in catching that hog. It was definitely a rodeo! lol Ended up with 12 for the weekend... Enjoy Sow on Saturday Barr in the hole Me, Broussard, Jim Ed, Big E, Marshall other hogs we caught that day

How is it that Marshall is always in clean clothes in the pictures? He looks like he is dressed for town in every picture I see
