I use it. Its called Trifexis and we just started using it a month ago. So far I like it. It is a heart wormer, intestinal wormer and gets rid of fleas. Its cost is like twenty dollars per pill. The only way our vet sells it is by the box of six. So far Im just trying it on the house dog but if it proves itself, we may start the other dogs on it.
The only thing is that someone warned me about possible effects on breeding. They said that they had a dog that didn't want to take while on the pill. Im still researching that one.

This is the worst year i have ever seen for fleas in Florida. My dog's in the kennel are fine but the ones tied are ate up. I treat my yard every month and have never had a problem til now. I am bathing and treating the yard every week and still having a hard time keeping up. I think it is the lack of rain. I am going to try the pills called Nitenpyram . Found them on Animal lovers house LLC thru amazon for like 13 dollars for 10 pills. They are suppose to work for 24 to 48 hours and then spray my dog areas and see. Any other Affordible tips would be appreciated.

I use vectra 3D. It does fleas ticks biting fli etc. It's a liquid topical. Available from ur vet. We've had a bad infestation this year so I got a pill called capstar. It kills all adult fleas on the dog in a few hours. The capstan pills are about 3 dollars each.

The vectra 3d and capstar pills I got from my vet. I didn't look on petmeds.com because they needed immediate relief. And yes u can see the dead fleas just falling off. Problem is that the life cycle is about 3 weeks for a flea. So do it then do it again in 2-3 weeks. The pill only kills adult fleas and there will be a new batch starting to hatch almost immediately. For 3 bucks it sure beats the hassle of spraying or bathing them.

He recommends every 2 weeks. Im not sure how or if it has any other effects on say the liver but I wouldn't think so. The theory is to allow the eggs that were left behind to hatch and become mature fleas. Then WHACK EM with a little ol pill LOL
