Yes.
Most hunting dogs (60-80 pounds) should receive about 3 cc's the day of delivery.
You can give them another 1.5-2 CC's the second day.  It will help a lot to catch anything they may get while they are weak.

yes it is safe and alleays a good thang . i start my gyps on a 3 day round of penecilin or amoxacilin after welping just to be on the safe side and prevent any infection in the gyp . my old gyps milk was bad on her last litter like to have lost all the pups . that was the only time i missed givin anti-biotics after whelping and it cost me a few pups .
