ive got a young catch dog that catches hard in a pen but wont go to the bay until she can see the hog. any suggestions?

not sayin this will work for you but i lead them in as close to the bay as i can and unleash the dog but hold on to the collar and hiss the catch dog and still not let his\her collar go until they are worked up and about to drag you to the pig. ill do this about three times or however long it takes to get them dragging me to the bay. just my two cents

yes she is catches while they are baying in the pen, and when you do the thing with her trying to drag me do i let her see the pig while im doing that or do i try to get close without her seeing the pig

let her see it the first couple times then without her seein it until she gets it down, then she can associate the dogs bayin with time to do her thing.

Have you tried turning a more experienced cd first? just to let her follow it in to the bay
