i called bs on the guy in alaska.first trap i noticed a gun on his back.second trap they said he was un armed today.the guy from nc.hes more of the hippy type.idk.oh and the dog was german short hair.

I told the wife the same thing! He had a scoped rifle slung over his back. When his snow mobile broke down, he was suddenly stranded, unarmed, in the wolf territory! |

didnt know about the show untill it came on here since i dont have cable. when i ran traps i always had a gun., if i had been running traps in alaska i would have many guns lol. these guys have nicer houses than me lol. the hippie guy looked familar, turns out he is. he lived a few miles from where i lived in carolina. we went to the same college just many years apart. i would see him alot. i used to hunt alot near his house, he is not a mountain man, he is a modern day tom sawyer where all these henry david thoreau lovers pay alot of money to do his oddball chores for him. the ppl of that area in western north carolina including myself lived a similar lifestyle as that man, but we didnt wear wierd clothes and didnt market the idea of being a poor boy living in the mtns. i used to see him when i would go out and get firewood from the roads after a ice storm would knock down trees. |

I thought the same thing. And I do not buy that he would be out there without being armed at all times. |
