Been a while since I had something worth posting.  Picked up two yella dogs that were bound for Oklahoma.  These two are young but have showed some promise with their previous owner.  After getting them adjusted to their new home and sucking some much needed weight off decided to make a round tonight where some sows and pigs had been spotted earlier before the rain this morning.  Loaded up after 10:30p and started looking for some fresh sign.  Made to a pasture wherw the grass was about waist high and full of cows.  Drove to the other side and turned my old dog Bell and new dog Smut loose.  Bell went to hopping and acting like she was winding but she was looking back towards where the cows were.  I tried to walk them toward the woodline when she made a 180 and went straight for the cows.  Bell is cow broke so I knew something good was gonna happen.  Few seconds later she went to baying.  Smut joined in and the cows broke to the north.  Bad thing smut went with the cows.  Bell went the opposite direction about 300 yds in the woods.  Got Dizzy along with catch dog Snookie and headed to Bell.  Got about 75 yds away and turned em loose.  I thought Bell was bayed in a cane thicket of course I was wrong.  She was in a deep creek that had 50 foot banks.  Got to em and they were in the middle of tje creek swimming in circles trying to catch.  Bulldog looked like she was about to drown, so I got her caught and took her vest off.  Was holding sookie hoping Dizzy would make him swim closer to my side of the creek.  Well he finally got to the other side of the bank and just stood there.  Dizzy barked a few times and then decided he had barked enough.  I was shocked he ran right in and caught this boar on the ear.  I sent Sookie to him hoping they could hold him long enough for me to get a leg.  Didnt realize how deep the creek was.  Got halfway across and had water up to my armpits.  Luckily they held him and I was able to grab a leg.  Swam him back to the other side and got a blade in him.  It was a good boar about 220-230 lbs.  Pics are not the best but I was plum give out by the time everything was over and soaking wet.
