There was a soldier by the name of Jason Woods that was stationed here at Fort Polk and was having to move to Alaska and wanted to hunt so I made it happen. I took him out on the 28th and we didn't get to turn loose til 1030 am.  We ended up catching a little boar hog by the dogs sucked it up and I was disappointed in them.

Here's the little boar.

I was so mad at the dogs I made Jason let me take him again tonight on the 29th.  Took one dog and a bulldog. Turned loose in one spot and had a lot of old sign but sfound where a real good one is laying up, so it wasn't a bad thing. Turned loose again and ol Poke hunted out and acted like he was trying to take a track from looking at the Garmin. Finally worked it out and came up bayed at 350 yds.  We walked to him and got some photos and let Jason throw her.  It was a good piggy sow.

Told Pokey to relay and he went 992 yds and bayed again.  Took awhile to get to him but we finally did and got another good piggy sow caught.  Both of which wore my mark but Poke ruined it in one of the ears on both sows.  Sure glad I could get him on some decent sows. No big boar or Barr hogs, but decent hogs on a last minute hunt.

The other piggy sow.

Heres another good Boar big that we caught a few weeks ago that ended up stressing out on me and dying.  Sure hated it because he was gonna make a helluva barr hog come winter time.
