Well I'm not too familiar with wells and I want one dug for me but I really don't know what I'm getting into I've talked to a few people that said $15-$25 a foot. Im tryIng to get a little more educated on the subject before I jump into anything any info at all is appreciated.
P.s. if any of yall have the equipment to do it and want to make some money I got cash in hand.

I had a 420' 4" well dug earlier this year. With a 2hp submersable pump for $7000 don't know what that is a foot but shouldn't be hard to figure. That was the cheapest I found. All others were in the $8000 to $11000 range.

Usually there is a minimum charge for drilling which includes drilling to a specified depth. If good water is available there then ur good. For references you should be able to contact your local health department . They will give you some names of companies working in your area and they know who the crooks are. Also local drillers usually are knowledgable on the aquifers in the area and know where to find the type water you want.( depth). Good luck.

I have 2 wells on the same property, within 200 yds of eachother. The first is 80 ft and has never gone dry, the 2nd is 500 and goes dry on a regular basis, referred to as a weak well. But this is hill country, an average well here costs around 6000
