A buddy of mine runs two full blood labs ona a chocolate lab and the other is a black lab. The black lab will find his own hog and will shut it down, he will put some teeth on one forsure.

I never thought about it but I can't imagine why a lab wouldn't make a good hog dog. I've seen other dogs jump on them and when it's over they wish they hadn't done that. Generally speaking a lab can hold his own with little or no damage. Seems like they have extra tough hide.

One of my good friends older cousins uses 3 and catches quite a few with them, well he was a cpl years back, haven't spoken with him in quite some time.
I have owned and / or trained quite a few for bird hunting, they have been overall the most intelligent dogs i've ever been around. The best dog i've ever owned without a doubt was a female lab that i lost earlier this year. I could get her to do just about anything, she had an amazing nose and the brains to back it up.
