My cousin Jr is gamey as heck. I was fishing in a boat of there pond and I was paddling near toward the bank and her Jr started backing and snapping at this ole snake skin. Any way I guess she trailed the snake but anyway about 20ft from the skin she found a whole and dug it enough to were here whole body and she went at it with that snake she got hit a few times but they have no stop. Andnshe also killed at large rat today too. She has impressed me a lot. And they have horses also and shes been kicked a few times but no she want quit. Ive never been around a jagd so what's halls opinion.

I have a jack russel that i love to death. Shes fun as can be. She has no quit to her at all and she bays cows all the time when i talk her into it. Real good puppy starter. And will hunt her lil butt off and nothing on the ground that moves is safe lol. But as far as hog hunting. I would personally go with the jagd bacause from just what ive seen is jagds tend to be more rangy. Jacks are more people dogs. There is no such thing as a jack that wont hunt something but a jagd will get some gone.

Jack Russels are awesome squirrel/tracking dogs but in my humble opinion they got nothing on a TRUE bred jagd terrier. Jagds are insane little animals with zero quit and the one's ive owned were naturals, they started baying a 150 or so lb boar at 4 1/2 months old and the better of the two, "snuff" found and caught solo 3 40-50lb hogs on his 4th time in the woods and first time in the dark. Im still kicking myself for selling them, worst decision dogwise that ive ever made!

I had me Jr and I tell you what he would go in and catch with my dogo . He was a crazy little dog. He went everywhere with me. Had him in the truck with the windows down the dogs bayed up a hog and the damned dog jumped out of the truck got to the bay and he was on the hog. There's a pic of him under my post "few pics I found"
