I got a pup earlier today. Rougher then all my prospects. She doesn't fit but I love her drive. Is there a way to back her up? The hogs grabbing her or hitting her just gets her more fired up. She is literally spitting in their face of she isn't biting it.

What size hog are you working her on? Put her on a man of a hog, one that will knock the crap out of her. And if she still tries to catch then shes probably not gonna back up. I'm not talking a 150lb hog I'm talking 250+ with good cutters

X2

Good thumping is only way to test her metal until she meets Mr. Bo hog in the woods that turns her every which way but loose sushi style. If no go with that.......have fun with your rcd.  Grin

A good ol ass whoopin does alot for humans as well as dogs lol I know I'm gonna still fight that next time but be alot more aware of my surroundings and just what I'd be getting into! Same thing will work I don't recommend a hog with good cutters I'd use a bad 250+ sow that is strictly business! Don't wanna reurn her as a pup!

Y'all confirmed my decision, I sent her back to the guy I got her from this morning. She was maybe 20lbs and getting literally tossed 6feet at a time by a 100lb hog and coming right back for more! I loved her attitude, but she would live long with my dogs...Back to the drawing board
