Finally got off hurricane duty with the National Guard and took the family fishing at our pond. We had a blast, and we caught dinner.

Our pond used to be full of big largemouth bass.  It wasn't nothing to catch ten fish in 30 minutes and the smallest be 4-5 lbs, but the drought hit us hard a few years back and we've let the pond come back naturally. Gotta get down there and catch some turtles!

Nice stringer of fish. How big is your pond?

It's a couple of acres when it's full. It's great for kids especially when the fish are biting good!

I ain't no true coonass or them turtles wouldn't have been left on the bank!  I ain't much on turtle meat at all.  I probably might like it of someone I knew cooked it good.

Just get your 22 and lower the turtle population. It makes for a fun afternoon.
