Friday Morning Hunt(s)

Friday morning we went to a place a couple miles outside of town and caught a 227 pound boar hog.Dropped the dogs right at daylight and they were on the ground no more than 10 minutes when my buddy's oldest strike dog Hoss opened up. I heard the dogs fightin him so we got about 15 yards from the bay and sent in the catchdogs. Only had 1.5-2 inch teeth but wrecked two of the three strike dogs pretty good, but nothing major. Got the dogs and hog loaded before 6:30. Made the short trip home, stapled/doctored the dogs and loaded a fresh dog and decided to make another run at a place in Flatonia. About 15 mins into the hunt we came up on an open hay field with 7-10 hogs rootin. Wasn't long and the two dogs we had on the ground looked up and saw them too and took off. After the hogs busted we took off after the dogs who were each chasin a diff pig. On the way we went through the small mod of brush the hogs ran through and walked up on a 80-100 pound sow playing hide and seek in the grass not even 5 yards next to me. Pointed my new catch dog Kimo's head at her and he bout tore my arm off, so I let him "one out" that sow, and about the same time we could hear dogs bayin. Ended up with two other sows, was gettin pretty warm so we called it a day. Two good quick hunts for a Friday morning.
