I love this time of year! I was working on a farm up in Wisconsin last week and it was in the high 20's every morning and barely made it out of the 60's the week then got to come home and my trip to south Texas got rescheduled so I ended up with an off week.
Started the week off by going to the Halloween store amd getting my duck dynasty costume ready! Drive thru friendswood an waved at pretty girls all day
Then had a great week with my wife and duaghter and got lots of crap done around the homestead, even got the post structure figured for my new peice of pasture, but that'll have to wait for cooler weather cuz I don't work for free in the heat!
Even did some hunting with my buddy Josh and got a pretty good boar last night. We figured him at around 150-180
I firmed up my decision that my Bulldog is gonna go to his "forever home" when I get his replacement in the next week or two, he can't swim real good and turned loose of that boar on me while I was in a bad bind on a nasty creek bank. Luckily the curs are smart enough to know I was in a bad pinch and they put the kibosh on him for me. Shoulda barred him but didn't. Oh well. Next time.
It's been a heck of a fun week, wish it didn't have to end so soon.
