This deer was. Killed in Vienna TX. It was still in velvet and was aged at 6 1/2 it didnt have any nuts I was all ways told that if they didnt have nuts they stay in velvet and they dont loose there horns the.base on the horns was 5 1/2  Sent from my SGH-T889 using Xparent Red Tapatalk 2

I have also heard that if they did not have nuts, they stay in velvet, he has a crazy looking set of horns.

Killed this guy last year on the last week of the season which is the last week of January here. Killed a decent 5 pt. On Thanksgiving a few years back in the same field in velvet too. GW said it was likely a genetic disorder where the nuts never developed.
