Well since I've vented on here about it, I figured I'd share the great news on here as well!!!! I finally got a new job closer to home!!!! I’m going to be working for Tektronix, a calibration company that tests testing equipment. It's only 10 minutes from the house instead of having to drive 60 miles (hour and a half in rush hour) one way to work and paying 40 dollars in tolls a week. I was out about 7500 a year in gas and tolls alone with my current job and that is all about to disappear! Wooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Grin

Congrats.

It's easy to measure the $7500 in savings, but the real benefit will be that extra 3 hours with your family each day.  If my math is right, you spent 3 hours a day commuting @ 250 work days per year = 750 hours or 31.25 days of each year sitting in a car driving to and from work.

Yep, you nailed it and I hate it!!!! I can't wait to have that time back every day! My daughter has been looking forward to it, and is going to be very excited; so will my dogs! LOL!  Cheesy

It saves wear and tear on you and you vehicle. Last year I took a job closer to the house and it saved 4 to 5 hours a week. It adds up...

Thanks guys! And I don't think we'll be trying for anymore anytime soon. The one is expensive enough right now! Lol!
