I live 45 minutes from Crockett, between Marquez and Centerville. You can tag along with me if you want to. I don't get off till Thursday but don't have to go back to work until the next Thursday.

Jimmy,

I bet you could hire on with my neighbors, Center Ranch, between Centerville and Crockett...  Of course, after seeing the place you are at, I imagine your standards of a good job are pretty high....

I agree, Center Ranch is a very nice ranch. There is also Rattle Snake Ranch, Camp Cooley Ranch and several other decent size ranches in the area.

I don't hear much about Camp Cooley these days...  I used to buy a lot of hay from there in the early to mid 2000's.

Start your own horse training clinic ! All you need is a cowboy hat and an Australian accent and every overweight, middleage, trail riding, Missouri Foxtrot and Tennessee Walker owning, suburb living desperate housewife in America will pay you to tell them how to fix their spoilt overweight horses. Just don't tell them that if they would quit feeding their pasture pet 16% high energy feed and red cell and ride it more than 6 times a year that it would'nt dust their a$$ every time they get on it ! Their's no need to give all of your secrets away. Grin

Camp Cooley sold  out about 2 years ago. Pretty sure circle x land and cattle bought it.

I'm not sure who owns it now but it's still called Camp Cooley. My cousin and some friends still do alot of daywork out there and work all the sales.
