My Whitey X Horn puppies first hunt.

I loaded up my two young yellow gyps Sassy and Moonshine along with my Whitey x Horn pups from Texashogdogs. Ron brought a couple of his dogs and his Whitey x Horn pup. I have'nt been as impressed with pups on their first trip to the woods in a long time as I was with these. They hunted out deep with the other dogs and stayed gone for a good while. The few times they did come back before the other dogs then they would roll out again as soon as a dog came by. They would go out over 800-1000 yds and I think that is awesome for pups who have never been to the woods before. We did'nt get a hog but we got to see what we're working with and that is the main thing I wanted.

The red pup is twizzler and the smokey pup is candy. Don't they look good wearing a Garmin !

They sure look good Lance.  Ive sure been impressed with the ones I have seen from Horn x Whitey and her sister Penny .   They aint shy about gettin gone and staying gone and thats 3/4 of the battle won for a young dog.  This Horn x Penny dog his fifth time out he found his first hog and he has been rolling with all the find dogs step for step now.  The Horn X Whitey pup I kept and let Mike talk me out of has already found his first hog for him at 10 months .  My sons little gyp out of Horn x Whitey has not been to the woods yet but fixing to she hates a hog with a passion and will flat roll .  I sure hope they do good for you.

I tell yall most these dogs are fast fast starting dogs they are blowin and going at 8/10 months then hoggin and a doggin by 18 months .  Very few are later starters but am here to tell you those later ones when they turn on they are some really really great dogs also some are hard to catch dont want your hands on them some of those are the best matter of fact I think the old Joe dog was like that the only one that could handle are catch him was Cole himself.
