  Need ideas on what to use for a roof. So far I have though of plywood,plexi glass,rubber mat. I'm still undecided on what to use- I wanna keep it as light as possible .

Diamond plate aluminum always looks good & reflects the heat somewhat.

Aluminium diamond plate and rivets,will be light and dress it up a touch.

if u choose to use aluminum plate, make sure you primer coat the aluminum and steel and the rivets and shoot the rivets with primer still wet. dissimilar metals will cause rapid oxidation if no form of barrier material is put in between the to different metals. what bout using metal siding/roofing or the corrugated roofing tin?

!/2 " plywood coated with rubber beliner has worked for years for me.

|
Get a piece of plywood. Bolt it on. Then get a router with a flat bit that will cut the wood to match the top of the box. Then seal it with paint and then bedliner the whole thing. Nothing stays cool like wood. Keeps the dogs cooler and cooler when you get on it too.
