Best Coyote call..

I know there maybe some different opinions But whats the Best coyote call and where can I get it. Im Wanting one with the little decoy type thing that flips around. Thanks.

Any one of them will work if used properly. Just depends on how much money you want to spend. I used a little cheap  lohman tube call (cottontail in distress) for a long time and it worked good. I saved my money and upgraded to a Foxpro. Electronic calls are expensive, but they give you a wide variety of sounds. I was having really good luck with the fawn in distress. Coyotes around here love to eat fawns. Saw a pair of coyotes tuesday fight a doe off her fawn. We killed one but I'm sure the other came back because saw that doe yesterday with no fawn. As far as decoys I love the Mojo critter it's small and easy to carry and really gets there attention

My cuz lives in fort worth and uses a mad dog  electronic call im pretty sure thats it! Its made by primos he has killed lots of yotes off of it! If we wanna mess with the yotes to play around we have a raspy coaxer hand call they go nuts over!

   I've been blowing various mouth calls for years , had one of the first electronic call they made years ago but I didn't like the sound . today I blow various calls still , but did incorporate the old  [ first one ] vibrating and spinning rabbit dummy and I do pretty good with it . it's more about set-up location than what you use to call with  .

Thanks for all the info. I've shot a few coyotes But never called one in B4 so this is gonna B new for me and a Buddy of mine so any advice, techniques,  equipment will B helpful. Got a few open pastures surrounded By woods on all sides so I fig thays where I'll attempt to call them n, I can hear them howling like crazy every night at these different locations. I definitely want a electronic call that I can control with a remote and have the little decoy.

yeah I like the decoy it gives the yote or cat something to focus their attention on and allows for the shooter to have more freedom  to move a little and get in position to shoot without being noticed .  good luck it's a lot of fun and it helps to have someone watch your 6 , I learned that with the great coon episode of 2006  lol   had one come up behind me and try to eat me up one evening while I was calling . that sucker had me dancing an irish jig for a while there till I whacked him on the head with my rifle barrel .

FOXPRO is def worth the money spent because it is hard to immitate and blow on a call for the duration that you can leave that call running also with many different sounds you can play without wearing a laynard with 20 calls on it. I also mix in mouth calls but all i carry is 4 that i use. Two are homeade calls that buddies have made for me but 2 are from TS PREDATOR CALLS from TJ SHockler here in Texas. They are open reed calls that are easy to blow and they 100% work! Decoy is a great idea because coyotes pick up movement even if a slight movement with a decoy with a distress sound coming from around it focuses them on that movement. Also like said in the earlier post you set up is the most important thing if you want to be successful. You can have the worlds best calls in the world but you set up in wrong wind its going to be a waist of money and your time...

I was trying to call in a doe while bow hunting and used just an old fawn call and a coyote came about 15 yards from my stand... I think anything that sounds weakkind of like the fawn call or high pitched will work

This is the absolute truth here. I used to do quite a bit of predator hunting, and placed way more importance on the stand set up than the sounds itself.  You canbe singin a dog the sweetest symphony ever, but if it sees you or winds you, you'll never get a shot off. I have a foxpro fx3. And I think any foxpro call is worth the money. I used a lot of hand calls as well, but usually only to bring them in closer after the foxpro got them interested. Another inexpensive  e-caller I have never hunted with, but been very impressed by the sounds, is the Flextone Echo. For less than 200 it has a wide range of sounds and sounds pretty good as well.

You go out and make nay loud noise you want and dump some meat. Do this a few nights just make noise dump food and leave to a spot and watch. The will get used to it then just start taking them out. During deer season just gut the deer and leave it. You don't really have to leave a lot just enough for one or two bites. Yotes will jump at a good bite or two. Just shoot as many as you can one night and then go back to dumping and not shooting. Mix it up but yotes a greedier than they are smart.
