There's a lot of hogs that way , also a lot of hog hunters , most of that country is rough and hunted horse back, also a lot of story's about stolen dogs or shot dogs , it's not to far from we're I live but I don't go there do to the story's , I'm not excited about going to prison LOL , I hunted there horse back once with a group with no problems , got hogs , runners for sure , the last story I heard was the same group went and spent two hours trying to gather there dogs from another group of hunters , it's not worth the grief to me , hope this helps ya out , we normally don't hunt this time of year , but I know safer places than that if the itch is that bad , the fish are really biting on a pole or on your hand if your in to noodling or fishing

Don't know about hunting wise, but just left a rig there and it sucks nothing to do and nowhere to go. We sit on lease roads drink beer and watch pheasants cross the road. Wink

But you were spot on about Cherokee gma Bob. Ive hunted there quite a bit and them hogs definitely know what a dog is. Been on one caught hog there and several long races.   I'll only hunt it on a weekday. Lots of folks out there running dogs on weekends in the cool weather.  Sure is some pretty country though

Yeah that place sucks, your nearest wal-mart is In Alva, and nothing to do. There is a pizza-hut, a gas station and one restaurant. Did I mention that place sucks? Lol
