Have enough fun for all of us. I imagine its a different style of hunting than is done here but that should only make it more interesting.

The bloom brothers over there are good friends of ours! I've heard some crazy stories about the outback! What town are you going to?

Bring a bull arab back.

WW-CC Have fun out there sounds like a chance of a life time!!!

Sorry dont mean to jack the thread but I had no idea what a bull arab was until just a second ago when I googled it, and I really like the looks of them. They actually look like the type of bull dogs I breed for with all the leg, but Im guessing just bigger. Anybody on here ever see one work?

Freakin awesome...trip of a lifetime!!

Couple things....

I wonder what the quarantine time is if you take your own dogs? Cost?

Then when you bring them back...same thing. What's the quarantine time?

Also....Tamworth...like the pig? Did the Tamworth pig originate there or is that like an old England town as well?

It cost around 10k I think to ship pups over. That's what I've been told anyway. Was told there was a lengthy quarentine as well

Well...I know for fact... If you take a dog to Alaska with you... It's only $100 (from Texas)

If you SHIP a dog to Alaska it's $750 (from Texas)

So taking with...as opposed to shipping is usually cheaper.

Anyway...that's a bucket list for me... Take MY dogs to Australia to hunt.

If you take your dogs they will sit in quarantine just like if you shipped them. They are trying to keep out parasites from our critters.

Quarantine from U.S.A to Aust. takes longer(sometimes 3 to 6 months) because we don't have rabies over there, when they come from Aust. to the states it is a lot faster, cost around 800 bucks for a grown dog to get to Los Angeles,or about the same price for a pair of pups in the same crate, then you have to find transportation from LA to wherever they have to go,im thinking about bringing something back with me this time, just not sure what yet. Would have to collecet a lot of stud fees off a good bull arab to make the cost worth while.

Yep and find the right bull arab....a lot of people breeding them who shouldn't be...no different to a lot of breeders in the US
