Hey guy I'm new to the sight glad to be here my question is I have two litters of regrestard bmc pups on the way the parents are long range strike dogs wben bounty hunter breed dogs parents come from randy wright I have had great luck with theese crooses I want to sell the for a reasonable price not 1000 pups like I had to pay but I can not give them away what to Yall think a hog hunters price is and is anybody intrested thanks

I will not give over 50 bucks for a pup, period no matter how it's bred. And that's just to cover wormer,shots and feed. I've seen too many dogs made out of free puppies.

Thanks I do not breed to sell pups and make money I breed for the love of the dogs and sport I will keep two or three out of each littler will just need to get rid of a few

300-500 is a reasonable price IF the person wants registered dogs. but I do agree, free is better. I got a litter of 2wk old high % yellow jacket that im gonna sell too, but if I wasn't unemployed and didn't need the money I would give them away.

Some of the best dogs can't be bought for any amount but you can get them free. People don't pay for pups they pay for a dog they can see go hunt. A pup could be a cull or great it is a gamble and food ain't cheap. I ain't seen papers find a pig. Plus BMC's are all over the place. I do love a good yella dog but I can get them free.

Interesting subject and one I've always found very intriguing. People will drive across the country and pay big money without hesitation for a well bred lab or pointer, but for some reason many folks in the hog-dog world seem to think that even asking a reasonable fee for someone's hard work is straight from the devil.
Your dogs reputation, not papers, will determine your pups worth.

If I knew for a fact that the parents were what you say the are, I would pay 400-500 for a pup. If I do my research & like what I see/read/hear, I will take a gamble on the pup. I did a lot of research on my most recent dogo & I took a chance and paid a pretty hefty price.Boy am I glad I did so far he's a decent dog. You price your pups for what you think they are worth.

Thanks for the replies I myself like working with pups if their worth working with ur their the first time the bark at a pig ur their the first time they out strike ur old dog and at 3 they mean something not trying to start a fire but to me a good dog is hard to buy you got to make them and pups with a good back ground is a good start thanks for the help I think I will ask 300 for them with papers barking at a pig at 4 months old if they don't which 10 out of the last 12 did I won't have any pups for sale I kept a few and gave the rest to family and they will all work

first post from Bryant that I can say I totally agree with lol just kidding Bryant but you did nail it . that statement is true with started or finished dogs as well . you hog hunters are just a tight arsed bunch lol .
to answer your question colt anywhere's from 250.00 to the moon just take into consideration that the economy is super tight right now and our future as americans is uncertain .

It's not the price of the pup it's my time invested in them! If I want something bad enough I find a way to afford it! I want to see the parents, grandparents, cousins, ect hunt--- papers this, papers that, just because so-&-so thought this or that don't mean I would like or dislike them.
If you have what you like & think others would like them price doesn't matter. That's one reason people pay so much for papered dogs, they are hoping to improve their chances of getting what they want in a dog!

Agree, well said. That is it. If other people are telling me you got some good dogs throwing good pups then I might pay a couple hundred and feed it. I personally would not get anything but a pup because I like to raise them so we understand each other. If that makes any sense. I just don't like getting a grown dog. Now don't think I would not like a great bird dog or hog dog for hunting but there is more time at home than hunting so I want to like the dog. Pups have not been taught things that irk me. So you show me some jam up parents and I might eat my words. |
