If you can afford concrete then i think thats your best option, not sure on the price of a slab that size but i'll call my ol man tomorrow, he deals with it for a living. My next and last kennels will be on concrete.

not really worried about the concrete just a thought. Just want a good looking kennel what you think about the size is that big enough for two dog kennels?

3.5' x 6.5' - answer would be no, unless you're going to let them out daily to exercise.

Most of mine are in 4 x 8, but they run free in an acre pen about a half hour every night.

concrete is best...why not 13x8?

you probably will need a divider so the dogs can't see each other because they might try to fight each other through the fence...this usually happens with males

I would agree with reuben, 8x13 and divide down the 8' section and wall the divider up. Had a male that would get highly aggressive towards another male in the adjacent kennel.

Oh, and as far as dirt or mud. Are the dogs diggers, if not then dirt will b fine, but mud makes it so much easier to clean out. I poured a 12x20 above ground slab and it took less than 3yds which was the minimum, but i think it took barely over 2yds, so with urs with a 6" slab, 2yds will be pleanty. If u go mud, leave room at the back end to shovel the washed out obamas so they wont pile up.
