Had a really good hunt last night. Blake, Dallas, Ben, David, and myself went to the bottoms. We took Fred, Lady (Fred x Soka), Blue (Fred x Soka), Bill (Fred x Soka), Iowa, Jane, and PJ. All the dogs got out and hunted fast in all directions. Lady ended up singling one out within 30 mins of the hunt and went to baying, Blue was close by and chimed in, then Fred came back in as well as Iowa.... We got within 80yrds and cut the CDs to em. Jane got in first with PJ right behind her and secured the hog and we dispatched it. Gutted the hog and let Fred roll back out. We got the hog drug out and gutted. Then it was Fred's time to play... He came bayed a mile from where we were at and was working in some thick nasty stuff. The hog kept moving and I guess He ended up getting out ran or just plain worn out so he homes back into the truck after 3 hours of chasing and tracking. Needless to say, we got home and done breaking down the hog around 430 this morning. Great hunt and couldn't be more proud of all the pups last night.

Thanks guys... I'm pretty excited with em all right now. Staying busy and finishing the job is what I expect of them now.

Honestly they are all hunting fools... This past weekend was the first time one of em has found and bayed their own hog. Lady is the one that found it, then their sister Blue came in quickly. Bill, their brother, was out hunting doing his own thing and normally does. I just like the no stop they have. I mean, they are just now a year and 7 months old. I'd consider how they are doing to be pretty good at that age... Idk. It honestly makes me wonder what the stars of the litter would've done. The two best dogs out of the litter that sounded off and flipped the switch at 4 months died of parvo at 6 and 8 months. I can't wait to see what their doing at 2-3yrs old. Should be interesting. I plan on breeding Fred back over Lady if he keeps improving and doesn't get got before then. Trying to cross the best of both father daughter crosses Blake and I have made. I'm planning for my idea dog to come out of that cross, but hell, it won't be for at least another year until Lady is ready for breeding, and then another two-3 years after that for the two lines to get crossed to each other if any of them turn out good. I guess well just have to wait and see.
