Went hunting one day last week bayed up and got about 30 yds from bay turned two catch dogs loose the dogs either missed or hog broke before they got there. While standing watching chase on garmin my buddies bulldog came back but Rex didn't figuring he would show up we headed for the bay dogs who had stopped hog .5 miles on garmin had to cross two creeks took about fifteen mins to get there. When we got to bay Rex was there caught been caught awhile turned other catch dog loose and caught and tied hog, had to break Rex off noticed he had took several bad pokes put him under shade and headed for wheeler when got back Rex had died. Rex was one heck of a catch dog what short time I had him, I rescued him from pound last day he had left back in mid March spring break week. Probly caught 20 plus hogs with him, catching machine right out of pound good temperment and good with my kids. I had him nutered because of pound requirments but would have loved to had pup out of him, my half american bulldog half dogo was in heat last week thats why she wasn't there to help him. Hog weighed between 175 and 200 cut through vest 3 times.

I don't want to name the brand but it was one of the four layered cordura or some kind of simular material but i know it was four layered catch vest. I feel like the amount of time he was caught was the worst problem.

RIP Rex!  Seems like those size hogs are the worst on cutting dogs.

RIP.

I know what vest you are talking about. learned the hard way too. You need more then just cordura. Wish I knew that sooner.
