Only thing I know is what I've heard and that is that wrights line is well bred and you can't go wrong with a dog out of his line. As far as the concho, not sure how's bred. You can go to his website and it should tell you. I think its wrightscurs.com

I think Robert Benson owns Wrights Rio Concho, The only thing I have read is that he is not a W.Ben dog, but was used as an outcross. If you really want to know about the dog call the owner. Here is his website. http://www.bensonsyellowcurs.com/awards.htm .JT |

Thanks for the comments guys. I call RB and was looking for a little more info. He was an out cross but there is no history on paper for conch. Yes conch that's what the papers say. He came from Mexico. Wondering if anyone has any pups from him and if so how are they doing. The pup I have is a goodlooking pup however never bayed a hog on looks

Between me and my hunting buddys we own 3 pups that are out of Wrights Rio Concho. The male dog we have, started finding his own hog at 9 months old. His litter mate, she found her first hog about a month ago. She was 13 months old. The other gyp is about 8 months old and really turning on she has found 2 hog by herself. I have pups on the ground outa one of my gyps and concho. Expecting them to be sum good pups. I know of alot of pups that came outa concho and have hunted behind several of them and they proved enough to me to have my gyp bred by him. Good luck with the pup!

Just curious is it Concho or Conch. The man said the papers say Conch but everybody that has posted put Concho. Is it two different dogs?

The pups are pretty gritty. They will pull hair on a running hog to make them stop. We use our foundation curs to catch hogs we do not run pits.Nothing against pits I just personally dont like to walk them. Our dogs will work a hog until it gets tired and then stratch him out.

Concho was owned by Mike Landry and come from a line of dogs that Mike had been breeding for several years, somehwere around SW Texas or maybe Mexico. He is FBMCBO registered, but he has no Ben blood in him. A friend of mine has a female off Concho and Wright's Romalina. She is a go getter. Never seen a hog, but used on cows all the time. She started working by herself at 6 months old. She will stay hooked on cattle, good front end dog and will get gritty. He has pups off her and Benson's Clyde. His number is 870-703-9739 if anyone is interested, I think he may sell one. He said he is keeping 3 or 4.
