I just returned from American Plott Days in South Carolina. Compared to two years ago when attendance was 3600 people & I don't know how many dogs,it was a pretty small crowd there because of no live animals in the bayings. Peta & HSUS are trying to take our rights away one by one. Still, it was good to visit with a lot of the plott folks who did show up. How many people are going to Uncle Earls? I plan on trying to be there Sat. & look forward to seeing old friends & meeting new ones.

Mike,
You bring up a good point to expand on. I hope everyone that can attend Uncle Earls, Plott Days, or any other dog sporting event does so. I've been at Uncle Earls probably 8 of the last 10 years or so. I is a good event and lots of stuff to see and people to meet. I think a decline in attendance shows (or appears to show) a lack of unity among us. Maybe said better...a high attendance at such events shows strong unity. Years ago I wasn't big on Facebook groups and other social events, my mind has changed in order to stay united with other fellow dog hunters. We do need to stick together, meet each other and stand together.
Mike, I look forward to seeing you.
