Judge I'm going to let you have the last word, I'm not going to argue over something so simple as a dog getting into a mans trash, your getting way off the beaten path here, the man simply asked what we would do in a similar situation and you want to throw in all these what ifs.

when is enough enough ? i think if it was me i would have already had enough . if you call the cops , animal control or anybody else and complain and then the dog dissapears because another neighbor shot him you might be the bad guy and the a-hole the victim .
i'd kill the son ofa beech , throw him in the river and then could honestly say idk what come of him .
i've done it before , you can't talk sence to stupid people .

In Texas a dog with out a name tag is a stray it could not be theft. If a homeless fella dug thru your trash a few times would you cap his to

A homeless man is more than welcome to dig in my garbage, but I'm not going to come out every morning to it strowed all over my yard and me to have to pick up. About 2 morning of me picking up thrash we gonna have to do something else.

So what does your neighbor and others do with their trash? If he is only getting in your trash, maybe you might try something different (like keeping the house in cans at the house and taking it to the end of the road on trash day).
Building a little trash can coral may cost you a few bucks and make you mad, but it may be better than other alternatives.
You sure it is a dog and not a coon? If you know this is the dog because you see him, I would personally pepper him with my BB gun first. I keep cats away from my house and the BBs don't hurt them for long.

Ok. So I highly doubt you care to read. Funny story tho to change the mood up. So when I moved awhile back and bought my own place. I Bout a house out of town in elgin on 7 acres. My catch dog doobie runs around he's the biggest pet ever! He got to know all the neighbors. They loved him, still till this day do! This is how I met my wife by the way. I went out one day looking for my dog he hadn't made it back.. I went to my second drive way, and my( neighbor) I was like "damn!" Anyways. I said hello my name is Art, I'm looking for a red teddy bear pitbull. She said," yah he's up at my house, he comes over everyday and sh**S in my yard!!"he's at my house now!! Well i said my I'm sorry so on so forth. Well sure nough he'd go over there everyday and poop in her yard. And that's how we met. We now are married and have a family, and that same dog/my catch dog still sh**S in the same places. I'm going to ask, are you married hahaha I'm kidding!! He is a GOOD dog! He like my wife says. "Doobie sh** here before you! "
