Had one hell of a race last night! Dogs trailed this cat off from a water hole and took her about 800 yards and settle her in to white brush thicket . Where they begin to sing her a song she was a running son of a gun for the next hour and 45 min they ran in about a 4 acre thicket all around me till it was all she could bare and they caught her on the ground ! https://vimeo.com/179898706Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sounded like a heck of a race, Jesse Paul. I was down at Phil Lyne's trying to wrap up a TV show and we had to go to Artesia Wells to get on the sand. It was REALLY wet down there. I ran into Shorty as I was leaving yesterday about noon and he had been to Batesville and caught three cats but none of the races were that long from what I understand. Stay after them while we have the moisture and keep me posted. Adios, Gary

Gary it was probally my sorry dogs that made the race that long ! I been catching them 15 to 25 minutes but last night was a smart educated cat that pulled all the tricks ! If I didn't have the moisture I did this cat would have not been caught !

Thank God for the moisture. I was through Uvalde on Monday and it looked really wet. Of course it was wet from Menard all the way to Phil's which is 22 miles SE of Cotulla. The black dirt was way to slick so we hunted the sandier country around Artesia Wells and got along just fine even though it was really wet. An old smartt cat like that helps make good dogs into really good dogs. I don't care what you are hunting, if a guy gets on a cat like that, he is just hard to catch. Great job to you and the dogs. Adios, Gary
