Good buddy who's active serviceman made it down from Ft.Hood and wanted to make a round so that's what we did. Morning started winding down and dogs had hunted their ass off just hadn't been able to get nothing going. Almost back to the truck and my sketch and a buddies dog I'm looking after, Loco get one up and running at about 700. Ole hog made it about half a mile and run into my little Sloan dog and she put the woah on him. Help showed up and they had him hung out to dry. Heck of a boar for a first hog. Had a time! This pack is trying to get me to leave the .44 in the truck. They are catching EVERYTHING! hog did some damage but only had one cut on loco that I had to sew up out of everything so we're chalking that up as a W. Even got my buddies 6 month old pup I'm feeding for him in on this hunt and he did awesome for 6 months old. Bayed his head off!

Lol My yellow dog Sloan and my buddies old dog I'm feeding loco. They get together they'll catch anything they've come across so far. And if they catch everything is catching with.

Thanks. Dogs are doing well. I rebounded a lot quicker than I thought I would have since losing g my Kate dog. Little help from a good friend on a good prospect in my Sloan dog and a little time in the woods is paying off

Well as of Wednesday Sloan still hadn't started using her leg at all after catching that hog so I loaded her up and we went to the vet. X-ray of foot showed 2 clean breaks that had to be set. Went to put soft cast on and as my vet grabbed high up on her leg below her elbow she started Hollerin so we undid everything and took another X-ray and come back with a fracture about 2/3 of the way through and infection had already gotten to the bone. So Sloan is out for 6-8 weeks on guard dog duty in the house. Hopefully we can knock this infection out quick with this baytril.
