What or is there something to protect the dog in front of the cut collar? It seems to me when my bay dogs get cut it's always under the jaw in front of the cut collar. I'm wanting some ideas from other hunters about this.

The Ugly Dog gear comes with that "bill" that goes under the dogs jaw area but I would think if you tried to go out further to chin you might lose mobility.

If you are talking about running it on a bay dog you may want to check out the Boar Bib from Ugly Dog Ranch.  It protects from the jaw all the way to the bottom of the chest.  I run one on a strike dog and think it works great for exactly what your talking about.

It fits my cur much better than the dog in the pic
