To much trouble to get it registered. The way I figure it is if I pull it behing a truck to go hunting, what will I pull it with in the woods. I have a 12' trailer that fits this trailer and my four wheeler perfectly. I do have road tires that I can put on it, and wiring it is now problem. I also wanted the better floatation of the atv tires. I'm in Louisiana, so smaller tires will sink in this bayou mud.

yeah after i posted i figgured you wanted the floatation. Is it really trouble to get a home made trailor reg. in Louisiana? It is a snap here in Tx. How much you going to be asking if you built another one. Might be interested when get me a wheeler.

Nice work BJ,I had one very similiar to yours and had the tongue of the trailer bend and finally broke off during a hunt. That part of the trailer takes a beating especially in the swampy areas where I hunt,I tried to weld some supports but they also broke during a hunt.I finally used a heavy piece of drill pipe and havent had a problem yet.I also used old 4 wheelers tires and they worked great.Good luck with it,it looks great.

Thanks for the compliment. The axle is pretty much balanced under the trailer to try to keep the tongue weight to a minimum. Hopefully this will work.
Colt, I'm in the process of finding the best prices on spindles and hubs. The cheaper I can find them the lower the cost I can build them for. I have the iron on hand to do it, its just axles and tires that I would need. I also thought about building a 4x4 with one box and a bed. I probably will build a couple and see if people are interested. Right now I'm looking at anywhere from $400 to $800, depending on the size and addons. More than likely it will be built with expanded metal rather than aluminum. This aluminum was laying around the shop so I used it. I can also build them with springs and road tires, and lights for anyone who wants it on the street. Then again this is a cost factor.
