I've been trying to put some weight on my yellow dog but he just doesn't gain. I've been giving him a tsp. of wheat germ oil in his food for about 2 wks. with no results. He eats like a horse but still haven't seen any weight gain. A friend of mine says he may have a tapeworm. I wormed him about a month ago w/safeguard canine dewormer so i'm not too sure about that. Now, last night I noticed him limping around and  thought he had a thorn in his paw. He didn't but his legs look swollen. Could that be because of a tapeworm? Is there a better wormer I can use or what's ya'lls opinion?
