About a week ago Big E, Colby and I went hunting over in Madisonville with a boy named Ethan. It was after a rain and the dogs were fresh, after a quick coyote chase, the dogs straightened out and one of Van Dorns young gyps, Miss Anne, made a big loop and struck this nice boar hog. a few minutes later they had this guy sit down in deep creek. It was pretty funny, we were running into the bay and I was a little behind Ethan and the other boy. We had a few creeks to cross so I was shedding all my electronics... and the dogs are about 30 yards in front of us and hammering. We had 7 or 8 cur dogs baying in there so i knew right off hand he was gonna be pretty solid.. anyways back to the story, so the boy gets in there first calls out to me and Ethan that its just an 80lb boar hog. lol i had to take a second to pick my jaw up i was laughing so hard, I tried to get my camera out to catch his reaction when his 80 lb hog turned into a very angry 200 lb boar hog!! after a few minutes we got him caught, drug up out of the creek and tied... From there we wnt right over the hill and Big E's best dog Roscoe bayed a solid group of 10 or so. We soon had a rally going with all the dogs there. A 50 lb shoat shot out and every single last dog left out after it leaving me 20 yards from the other 9.. that quickly scattered.. including a very fat red Barr!! a few seconds later big e's gyps Parvo, Roxy and miss anne coming screamimg through. 3 county roads and 6 hog later we finnally got the gyps all caught. here's a few pics of the boar hog, everything else we caught were 100 lbs or less

On Wednesday Brandon and I went out to our deer lease in New Waverly. I very rarely ever hunt by myself and never take all of my young dogs. But since it was just Brandon and I, I took alll 3 of my yearlings and even my 7 month old pup Moon. SHe's the same one  that i Had put up for sale because I wsnt hunting her.. I later began 2nd guessing myself and decided to keep her for a while longer.. and iM sure glad I did!!! We were going along hunting and Brandon's dogs had rolled out to the east.. Drake and Fawn had rolled out to the west ad were in the other end of this block of woods when Sadie and my pup Moon struck him. Soon all my dogs were in on it but we went ahead and decided to leave them for a little while bc it was showing B's dogs to the East to be bayed. Well we got over there and their hog had broke and now it was showing Saide back bayed a mile in the other direction. My rough gyps had already been catching him or and were cut up pretty good when we gt there. Fawn had gotten hit in her throat and had quit him, she was just laying down watching the bay . My other gyp and bmc were cut pretty good too. I was a good bit ahead of Brandon, the cd  and my gir Candace so I decided to call Marshall while i was there waiting. I knew he was at work and would enjoy listening to the bay. he got a pretty good play by play as i walk up and see all my dogs cut, luckily B gets there quickly and his young catchdog Cash and Drake get him caught. I just sid my phone in my pocket and let Marshall listen to everything.. Even the comical moment when broussard and i realize neither one of of us have a rope and have to kill him.He was only about 175 lb boar hog and his teeth were so small they werent evern worthy of a pic but those 1 1/2' stiletto's worked my gyps over pretty well. Broussard's gyp Sky and my Moon pup then got on a track star and ran him for about 2 hr's before finall quitting him. This was the first good hog hog Ive caught with just my young dogs that i can 1000% say they found him, stopped him, held him for a good 30 min and caught him when i got there.. Here's a few pics fro the hunt
