Went with Gil to a grove tonight and Levi & Ruby caught this big boar 5 minutes into the hunt.  It started pouring rain so we called it a night . He was well over 300. Pics don't do him justice.

When you say grove, do you mean orange grove? Does the hogs eating a bunch of oranges affect the flavor of the meat... if y'all eat any of them?

     Yes it was an orange grove that is surrounded by a large cattle ranch. I have never tasted any difference in the meat. We relocated this one to some land that buts up to a marsh.

He had about 2 inches on each side that were almost black looking I was happy to see he didn't even scratch a dog.
