Caught a good hog on sunday and two more last night. Met up with a guy in town whom I have never hunted with but known for some time.

We had different philosophies and styles of hunting but I was willing to try it out. They liked to road the dogs and I like to cast them out. We also varied on how we used the dogs, catch dogs and going to a bay. It was like a competition. None the less...we made a pretty good hunt.

Heading to one of my dogs showing bayed on the garmin 800 yards out. Their dogs pulled up bayed on a good boar. He went about 250 lbs.

We roaded a little more and i rigged Bart from the ranger. He bailed off and opens bayed about 300 yards off the road. The rest of the dogs joined. Sent three catch dogs in and have a nice 345 lb piebald barr hog. Didnt get good pictures but a few.

250 lb Boar

345 lb Barr

Hope to get a few pictures from the other guys and load them as well.

I was definitely a guest on my own place  Grin Im still trying to figure out who was chasing us that we needed to run to the bay...and then cut catch dogs loose at different points along the way.  Grin Also didnt realize I was the only one that could hear my dog baying....must be like that movie "Ghost"

Good set of hogs there!!  I think they sharpen their teeth on all those rocks in your area!!  Definately a healthy pair!!  Congrats and glad the dogs came out unscathed!!
