Sure it does, they don't fight and break them off. Most old boar hogs i've ever caught had busted teeth from fighting. Them big, old barrs i've caught had hellacious teeth... the biggest being 4 1/2" and 4 5/8"... that's with whetters intact.

Absolutely mike... Just about every barr u catch has a decent set of teeth.. And u get the occasional 4-5"... All they do is lay aroun and sleep.. No fighting and no hooking trees with their teeth

Its just like steer, a barr will jus eat, and sleep. They don't have that  drive anymore, mating fightin with other boars.

Yes I catch lots of my barrs that I turn loose And the biggest tooth hog I ever caught was a barr that had 6 1/2 one side and 5 3/4 the other side both growed back in his skull!!!  I have caught hogs that I cut 10 miles away down river and across highways!!! But we try to keep in contact with all the nieghbors to see who is catching what or shooting what!!!I would have mounted the big tooth hog but he was a winne cought him with 2 loose bay dogs no story no mount!!!! And yes the land owners like them around here!!! Just easttexas tradition If you talked to the old cowboys they all talk about working hogs!!!!  Some people around here will get mad if your dogs chew a hog up were it has a chance on dieing!! If you dog one of there places and a dog chews a hogs shoulder out you will not be ask back on the hunt!!!! Some of the place I hunt get mad cause the deer are in the way!!  Let a dog jump a deer while working cattle they get just as mad at the deer as they do the dog!!! There is one place we hunt during deer season and if you bay near a stand they will get out and help you cut and release the hog!!!! Then get back in there stand and keep hunting!!! Its wierd cause I live in cleveland and you can cross the river to mosshill and the people change cleveland side they shoot your dogs HOUSTON HUNTERS and Mosshill they give the dogs a good GET A HEAD when they run buy!!!

on Texas boar.com I am a member, and I have read where you kill a large boar dress it, put meat in a cooler cover with water put in one qt of lemon juice one cup vinegar and cover with crushed ice and keep doing that until the water runs clear,if it starts to turn black cut out the vinegar [takes about 4 days] the meat is sweet and very good with all the wild taste gone. some even do that a day or to with a large sow. you E.Texas guys every heard of that?

I have heard of alot and some do work it depends on how the boars glads are!!! That trick won't work if the boar is breeding a sow!!! The meat is better if he is a Barrow!!!! Every market hog that goes to slaughter is a barr!! There ain't no boar hog meat in the stores so they won't be any come out of the woods for eat unless he's a barr!!
