A big one, preferably out of an old saddle or boot shop.  Grin
I've had some heavy stuff sewn by a saddle repair shop or a boot repair shop for little or nothing.
Wasn't worth justifying buying one so I just asked around.

a big one is right, but not a boot sole stitcher (the biggest machine most shoe shops have)  or really old saddle machine. They are great for leather, but use a hooked needle that will hang up in any type of fabric or woven material like nylon webbing. You'll probably need  a fairly modern one.  Adler, Juki, and Ferdinand all make  saddle/harness machines, but expect to pay about 5 grand for the big ones (new). I have an Adler 205-370 that  will sew most anything you run across up to near 3/4" thick

(not for sale though)

My mother had a power sewing machine that could be used for sewing thicker material. She passed in 2008 and my dad still has the machine . I think it is a Juki but I'm not sure. If your interested in buying I can find out how much he'd take for it.
