What does that great looking bull of yours weigh? Man, I'd love to see some better pics of just him. How's he crossing? And on what breed of cows?

Here is my wife. She will give you all the details. Blackie is a registered Brahman bull. He weighs around 2600lbs. He is gentle as a dog, and was one of my first show bulls. He is JDH and JT White bred. We currently have him with our show heifers. We no longer run him on big herds because of his age. We run over 400 head of registered cattle in four different counties. We have the biggest black herd in the US. We breed gray and red cattle. Dont know if your just curious or interested but let us know if we can help you in any way. I will get some pictures for you later today.

Alright, I'm ready to learn something today. What makes up the hump? Is it cartilage, meat, both, or something else? Blackie's looks big to say the least.

ok i may get this wrong since i am not by my wife (i am new to all of this cattle stuff), but i think it is an extension of the shoulder muscle that is basiclly made up of cartlige and muscle.

Do you lease him out for a billboard? If so, I'd like rates for my kennel.

lol. the funny thing is my wife took her wedding portriat with him(i'll see if she will let me post that picture). They are both as gentle as can be. Blackie is at our house and sleeps right next to my dogs every night. i can walk up to him scratch him and do whatever to him.

Gorgeous!! Our school mascot was a big grey brammer (as we call them) and he was gentle as could be...he rode on a floats, attended home coming games and gave school kids rides when the ag teacher wasnt looking.
They are by far my favorite breed, I just love those floppy ears...although their attitudes can sometimes outweigh their beauty lol
