Another amen to that, with each birthday America has thats another we get to enjoy in the land of the free. Lets not forget that or take it for granted and remember how it stays that way. God bless and thanks to all soldiers past and present. A big thanks to Truett O'brien and every other soldier who sacrifice thier time so our 4th is possible.

My 24 hr. shift was about to end this morning at 7 am, we were just sitting around drinking a cup of coffee waiting on our relief to arrive when in walked a young man neither I nor my buddy knew. He introduced himself and said that he was active military and had just driven up most of the night from south Alabama. He was going to Gaylesville, a small settlement about 20 minutes from Fort Payne where I live. We was to inform a family there of the loss of their son in combat. He was looking for a motel where he could take a shower and put on his dress uniform......we told him to get his stuff and use any of our 2 showers and to help himself to our facilities for as long as he needed. This was the least we could do to aid such a polite guy that had a hell of a job to do in a little while. He was pleased and thanked us repeatedly.....we thanked him for his service and the job that he did. Made me feel good to help this guy out on the 4th of July......HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!!!!!!
