sat. morning dropped the dogs early just inside the gate of a new place and was gonna drive ina lil further from hiway to unload four wheeler. didnt drive in 200 yrds befor the cd started yippin in trailer stopped to shut her up and grabbed the garmin because the dogs were no where in sight. ( thats not like my dogs ). they were already bayed up 600 yrd in befor i fnaly got signal. WOW thats realy not like my sorry dogs. we jumped out of truck at about 400 yrd from them and headed thuoght the thick stuff. got with in about 60 yrd from them and realized they were in a large recently flooded creek. damn i hate going in the creek at night when i have no idea how deep it is and is flooding.... any how cut the cds loose and splash then wham then squel. caught hog ! that is realy not like my dogs we have been on a lot of dry runs lately or out ran. we wade in at about waist deep take care of the hog and gather dogs be cause i didnt have permission for land on other side of creek.
well this is where the story realy turns as we are wading back across i turn to tell my buddie eric not to let leroy slip his collar because he realy doesnt like water and i keep his cutcollar loose. well i guess to loose and SLIP right as the words are coming out of my mouth. he had him hooked to his regular collar and as leroy was fighting the current it pushed the cut collar with my garmin over his head and into the water. ooh SH!T. he says as the words are still coming out of my mouth. well we get the dogs tied up to trees on the bank. and began looking for collar but it is dark and fast moving dirty muddy water. no luck. take the dogs back to truck and let it light up then we go back to look in the light, plus i decided i wanted some loins for dinner. we look for an hour. no luck. we were bummed because we are poor and its hard for us to spend that kind of money to replace stuff. well i go to my father place about 10 miles down the road and tell him the story and he wants to go look again we have some tacos and go back to look again but it is still to muddy of water to see the bottom. no luck. well i take him home and go home. cook up some of the best damn loin i have ever cooked.
the next evening i call my father and ask him to go take a fishing pole and go look for the collar again. he says "i just got back and your not gonna beleive where IT was ".... holy sh!t... he found it.
it was right where it fell off the water had finanly cleared up to were he could see that beautiful uglydog orange... we all had thought for sure it had gotten swept down steam in the fast current we were crossing. it had been under water for 36 hrs. it seems to work fine so far... LOL...
ANY ONE WHO KNOWS ME, KNOWS THAT IS NOT MY KIND OF LUCK !!!
and yea im still thanking my pops...

That is great. I use a cast net. I have got fishing poles to keys with it. Get the one in the plastic case and leave it in your truck!
