1st Hunt of the year

[NT-HOGGIN]

Made the trip out to hunt with Michael and Joe this morning.  We got to the 1st spot around noon and had Hollywood, Brittany, Boski and Michael's NO NAME pup on the ground.  By the time we got the bulldogs on the 4 wheeler the others were bayed 1.5 miles out.  Loaded back up and drove around to em and caught a fat sow that probab;y went 225lbs.  Got the sow loaded in the trailer and the Garmin showed the dogs bayed again nearly 2 miles away.  We spent about an hour and a half trying to get somone to open a gate for us.  Finally found a ranch hand that opened the gate and got us to within 200 yards of them.  Caught another fat sow that is gonna drop some youngins any day.  We then swapped Hollywood out for D-MAN and headed to another spot.  Dogs bayed a decent boar right off the bat, that the curs caught.  Got back to the 4 wheelers and they had another one bayed in a pond.  When it finally came to the bank Michael legged it and the dang hog had been shot in a back leg and it was only being held on by the skin.  Pretty good start to the new year.

It was fun Rodney, went a lot smoother than last week   

That was the plan until June died, so now im a dog short Noah.  hes going to have to keep hunting until these pups take over, which wont be long with what theyre showing so far.
