Had a few buddies from down south come up for the weekend. We went out to my honey hole on the suwannee river at about 10 on saturday, dumped bella and matt's dog tanner. They farted around for a minute or two then struck out. About 20 minutes later we tracked to them about 500 yards out, and could hear a few barks from bella inbetween her and tanner catching. Tied her and carried her back to the truck. After that we turned out Billy's black and tans, A.J. and Brave. Right out of the box they hauled butt and stayed gone for about 10 minutes. Brave came back, we waited a little while longer and heard a bark followed by the sweet sound of rallied hogs grunting and chattering their teeth. We went to them with ol' Judge. We got about 20 feet from the bay trying to put pressure on them to split a few out, but we couldn't get one parted out. Sooo.... Judge got cut loose and then the hogs raped and pillaged him But finally they split up and we just caught a little sow out of the group. Got Judge caught back up and brought the sow back to the truck and regrouped. Tracked to the dogs and they were a waaays out. After a long hike we got close and smelled boar hog, they were on an 10 foot wide island in the middle of a waist deep cypress slough. Caught the hog, cut him and let him go. Was supposed to go sunday to perry, but someone wouldn't answer my phonecalls til sunday afternoon :

Sounds like a good honey hole. Got to love those wet sloughs and long hikes. Although you look dry in the first pic. That is a nice sow in that pic.

I'd rather be "ball" deep in a cypress or sawgrass pond, than have to run these damm Tennessee mountains anyday. Kinda makes me homesick ;DNice hunt
